About us

Hello! We are Michaela & Harrison, the owners of My Pour Decisions, thank you for showing interest in our baby, aka our business! Michaela was born and raised in Montana, which is why we chose to start our small business here. However, we met each other working at the same winery in the Napa Valley. Harrison had moved there to be close to his family and begin a career in the wine industry. Michaela moved there originally for a harvest internship. We both decided to work as wine educators and met working for Duckhorn at Paraduxx winery, where we met. With a similar interest in wine, cooking, travel and just having a great time, it was only a matter of time until the two of us got together.

Even before we met, the both of us have always had the “entrepreneurial spirit” within us. Michaela has started a business in the past and is constantly coming up with new ideas while Harrison’s Mom owns her own business which has always inspired him to work for himself. Having this in our blood, we both greatly understood the pros & cons of being an entrepreneur. And thankfully we completely threw away the cons portion of the list, and only focused on the pros. We quit our 9-5 jobs in March of 2022 to officially start My Pour Decisions.

We packed everything we owned and moved back to where Michaela grew up (Montana) to start our entrepreneurial journey! Since quitting our jobs and starting My Pour Decisions we have spent a lot more time together (which we love), learned to sail, traveled to 6 different countries, and made countless couples forever happy on the most special day of their lives.

One of the main reasons we started My Pour Decisions was to experience what true freedom entails. We are so fortunate that our “job” is to make people happy and enhance the most important celebrations in life. We take such pride in our work because the incredible lifestyle that we have built is only possible due to the success of our business.

Our goal in the future is to move to Italy, grow our own wine and produce, and start a family. We’d love to have a small b&b or intimate wedding venue. Harrison is currently working on gaining his Italian citizenship though his heritage.

We appreciate everyone who supports our small business, it allows us to follow our passions. This upcoming off season (winter) we will be going to NZ to work a wine harvest! We are so happy we get to work weddings and event in one of our favorite places (Montana) while also continuing to grow our experience in the wine industry in the off season.

We absolutly love to travel! Mostly to wine regions, although South East Asia is another favorite. In 2020 we spent a month motorcycling around Vietnam (can’t wait to go back!) Previous to that Michaela had spent about 7 months there.

We frequently encounter people saying, "you must truly enjoy each other's company to work together, live together, and be a couple.” Of course we do! Our decision to start this small business was largely driven by our desire to spend time together. It’s the ideal arrangement for us. We complement each other well as a team and enhance one another's strengths. Every weekend, we have the opportunity to celebrate love, which only deepens our bond.
